Chiropractic Therapy
A Unique Approach
There is a vast difference between treating the effects and adjusting the cause. As a chiropractor I am a practitioner of the system of complementary medicine based on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.

Chiropractic Adjustment
Chiropractors are the 3rd largest group of medical practitioners in the world.
A chiropractic adjustment is a common therapeutic treatment for back pain. The aim of this treatment is to increase range of motion, reduce nerve irritability and improve overall function.

Soft Tissue Therapy & Kinesiology Taping
Therapeutic Techniques
Modern treatment designed to ease muscular pain. Releases tension from trigger points within the muscles. Needles are gently inserted in myofascial trigger points to stimulate tissue and relieve inflammation. It is used to increase range of motion and can also treat joint and disc problems, tendinitis, and carpal tunnel syndrome to name a few.
Soft tissue therapy aids in increasing blood flow to the affected area resulting in reduced recovery time. Other effects include pain reduction, breaking down of scar tissue and stretching out the muscle tissues to improve its elasticity
Kinesiology Taping can be used in conjunction with chiropractic manipulation to reduce pain which can increase the range of motion of the affected joints. Decompression of the underlying tissue allows for pain relief and reduces inflammation of the surrounding tissues. Enhances neurosensory input which helps to create pathways to the brain that assist with movement, sensation and balance.
Flexion Distraction
Empower & Heal
This form of chiropractic treatment is commonly used for symptomatic disc injuries.
It is a specialised table that allows gentle distraction or stretching of the spine and it’s surrounding structures, with isolation of the specific vertebral level involved.
The distraction of the spine helps to centre the intervertebral disc thus reducing any nerve irritation that causes pain.
Flexion distraction can be used for the following conditions:
Lower Back Pain
Failed Back Surgery
Disc Herniation | Bulge
Radiculopathy | Sciatica
Stenosis In The Spine
Synovial Cysts
Spondylolisthesis
Facet Syndrome
Scoliosis
Muscle Spasms
My Journey
I qualified with a Master's Degree in Chiropractic from the University of Johannesburg. My training included an internship at the University of Johannesburg Chiropractic Day Clinic where I was also an assistant clinician.
Upon graduation, I received an invitation to join the Golden Key International Honours Society which recognises academic achievement.
I am registered with the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (AHPCSA), a member of the Chiropractic Association of South Africa (CASA) and Paediatric Chiropractic South Africa (PCSA).
During my student years, I was involved with numerous sporting events like the 94.7 Cycle Challenge, KES rugby and water polo and the South African Equestrian Derby to name a few.
Working at the Ethembeni Children’s Home gave me the experience and soft touch to treat babies and toddlers.
Above working at my private practice, reading or spending quality time with my family,
I am a part-time lecturer for first and second year Chiropractic students at the University of Johannesburg.
I love treating patients from all age groups, and I am passionate about taking an alternative and holistic approach to healthcare. It is a privilege to be able to help people and make a difference in their lives, even in the smallest way.
